Some of the important research projects being conducted through (SC)2 are described here.
MFIX support tools developed at PSC facilitate working with MFIX data. Included are MfixReader, a library to read MFIX files; m2e, which converts MFIX data files to Ensight 6 files; m2t, a program to print information from MFIX data; and py2dx, a Python extension for Open DX.
PSC-NETL collaborative projects investigate diverse topics such as the unsteady flow in a gas turbine and the catalytic decompostion if ozone. Descriptions and images from five research projects are given.
